Breaking Wager resigns

of course it’s the fucking dipshit high school coach that does this. Get the opportunity of a lifetime and then fuck us right before the season. Enjoy peewee ball retard
It’s very depressing. Gets a big break, moves his family up here etc. only to have this happen? He has got to be feeling like a huge pile of shit right now

Rhule has been talking about standards a lot this past week and not just setting them but living up to them. Pure speculation on my part but something like this doesn’t feel like living up to the standard that Rhule wants.

Retain him and what does that tell your team? Probably just told him to resign

I enjoy the “I feel good about Rhule, he had a backup plan ready!” and “good for coach, runs a tight ship!” thoughts being shared. “Coach knew he was in over his head so he brought in a backup!”

Similar to the “players that transfer out always amount to nothing, good riddance!” mentality.

As if we didn’t go out and deliberately choose to waste our time with said individuals in the first place. This is embarrassing. I hope he was the idiot bragging about having a top 4 TE group in the big 10.

Bob Wager resigns. Cites a bad citation.

Most probably know this happened by now, but is there more to the story? Was this a situation where Rhule was holding him accountable for his actions and Wager was given the choice to resign or be fired - or were there issues with Wager?

I don’t like seeing this happen to Wager or anyone else. When alcohol causes problems in your life, then you have a problem with alcohol. I hope he gets the help he needs and I wish him the best of luck in the future. I’m sure this is devastating to him and his family.

Who cares what people think. Obviously Rhule didn’t want this, but in the big scheme of things i doubt it hurts much this year. If the new guy doesn’t live up to standards you get some else in 5 months.

Question… If this is indeed DUI #2 did he face any sort of suspension or punishment from Rhule for the first one he got here?

Ok. That is the opposite of stability, which needs to be a priority, but we can disagree.

I remember when Fidone committed here, rumblings of being then new TE-U. Three attempts later and we’re cycling through HS coaches, plural
