MGM was just dealing with the hack. I’m not sure if it’s better yet but maybe check before booking any of their properties.

I go with my buddies every now and then. They are cheap so we stay at Luxor.

Just for the fancy clubs and restaurants if that is your thing.

Definitely stay on the strip. I've never been to the Palms in decades of going to Vegas. If you stay off the strip you'll be spending a bunch of money on Uber taking you back and forth.

The Aria was an amazingly quiet comfortable room with shades that keep the room pitch black in the middle of the day.

Went to New Orleans in March and spent most of our time on Bourbon St. I feel like your comment sums up our experience.

I always spend opening of March Madness at Elara. They are more like condos, but have a 12 ft drop from the ceiling projection tv. Great for watching games.
