It's unbelievable that both the offense and defense can improve significantly without having any impact on wins and losses.

It is what happens when you don't get much better at special teams, are very meh once you cross the 40 and play an insane schedule.

Schedule is a factor. Not an excuse though. But 3 top 10 teams with 1 or 2 to go is rough. Still no excuse for the Illinois and Minnesota games
