In addition to Utah he had some good offers out of high school including USC, Arizona St, Virginia, and Minnesota. Redshirted last season so has 4 years eligibility.

This staff certainly has a Knaak for recruiting good prospects.

Definitely more of a project...but a pretty sought after project with huge upside. Not only did he end up at Utah, but other P5 schools were wanting him as a transfer too - mainly Kentucky.
That being said, I know that Rhule is much more focused on winning in 2024 and beyond, so I wouldn't be surprised if they decide to invest in his future in 2023 and get him on the field sooner than later.

I think years from now if you got Rhule liquored up he'd admit he went a little overboard in some of his NU honeymoon period comments. The Benhart/NFL one being chief among them. Also the Haarberg stuff. There was probably a miss in there too (Ajay Allen).
