-12 on the season. Surely going to be dead last in college football after this weekend.

can’t be minus these last 3 games. Need to be net zero. What do you do?

I want to see Chubba. Seen enough of Haarberg and Sims at this point. They both just have the -itis. Need to see if Chubba can operate an offense and be a guy you can build around for 2024.

They probably already know he can't or they likely don't want him back next.

HH will be around next year. Hopefully we get a better QB who starts next year, but if he is going to be here next year, even as a backup or a TE, and Sims and Purdy are not, why give snaps to anyone but HH? I bet he only gets replaced if he is hurt ore things are going so wrong they worried he be psychologically damaged if he stays in.

Unreal how bad our qb situation is

What I would do to have Thompson or Smothers right now
Absolutely insane!

But it's also a testament to how shitty of a job the previous staff left both the QB room and WR room. Obviously Rhule and Satterfield made a mistake in identifying Sims and bringing him in, but there was NO ONE in that room behind him.

If you think about the injuries (WR and RB) and defections, I have a hard time seeing how things would be better. The advantage HH has over everyone else is he is big, fast, and very durable. There are things he can do by himself those other two can't.

Neither Smothers nor Thompson would have held up, IMO. Plus Smothers is a clear 2nd string now at Jacksonville St and Thompson's season ended by injury in late September and he was doing terribly when it did.

HH just doesn’t see it. This pass defense was awful and he just continued holding the ball too long, missing receivers, making awful throws, not checking down. He’s truly awful at passing.

I don’t know if the offense needs to rethink itself again and go straight Navy option attack or what. I can’t fathom how a P5 passing attack is as bad as what we’ve got.

Right. The next not shitty Nebraska QB isn't/wasn't on the Nebraska roster within the last 2 years.

I hope this helps everyone.

Chubba is 10069% not going to be “the guy” next year

The failure to see open guys is just demoralizing. Of course, he saw a wide open guy for a TD and managed to throw it to the defender 10 yards away, so maybe identifying open receivers is an overrated skill.
