But yeah development is absolutely important, probably more important here than any other "blue blood" due to our location and size and yada yada yada we all know that. It doesn't mean we shouldn't recruit or use NIL like crazy, it means we need to develop our recruits once they get here so that they actually pan out for us because we have a small margin of error. We absolutely need to be the best at development in the Midwest if we're ever going to go from being absurdly shitty to being back to a top 15 team, right?

Exactly. We have to quit the pattern of recruiting better than the entire division on paper and then turning the players into trash when they get here.
