Turd on Sports Nightly

It would be hard to get rid of him if that happens. 6-6 isn't great but it's marked improvement and with an easier schedule on board for 2022. How could you not wonder what the team would look like with a much easier schedule next year?

Now I think the likelihood that Nebraska beats Purdue, Wisconsin and Cockeyes this year are about 1%. And I think anything less than bowl eligibility and a .500 record should get Frost removed as head coach.

It's a slim margin, but it's one this team has set themselves up for and have nobody else to blame but themselves.

Honestly, how much better do you feel about this team if they simply beat Illinois and any of those other 4 teams? All of which they had a shot at winning (least likely being Minnesota for Gods sake). They'd be sitting at 5-3 with the remaining schedule of: Purdue coming off a loss and 2 straight very physical games, Ohio State coming to Lincoln after a big game vs Penn State, a down Wisconsin team and an Cockeyes team that can not throw the ball.

What a difference a few special teams mistakes and bad plays by a QB makes. Football is truly a game of inches.
It won’t surprise me either way what happens if he wins 3-4 games. You’re right there is no doubt he will be back at 6-6. Turd would probably prefer that option and let Frost succeed or hang himself next year with the easy schedule.

I honestly think Turd believes Frost isn’t the guy, but he won’t cross the major donors if they want to keep him for some reason. Hell he was fine with firing Solich in 2003 because the program took a dip on the field and recruiting wise. The video is there to watch. I can’t believe he thinks Frost is on the right path.

I agree......mainly from last night's tea leaves. Turd knows he needs to let this play out. He also knows how these games end the vast majority of time.

Similar to when I told my wife that he's gone after the Illinois game. She said....."one game makes that much difference?" I said the sample size is significant and it's the same movie game after game, and year after year. The movie likely won't change with a data set like that. Turd knows what the odds are of Scott finishing 3-1 or 4-0 aren't good.

All that said, I could see Turd giving him every opportunity to switch out some staff if he goes 2-2 to end the season. For the sake of stability. Sadly this football program needs stability in the worst way -- whether it's HCSF or an outsider.

Alberts knows, at best Frost will finish 1-3. If donors don’t want to let the guy go, just sit back & watch Frost go to work. He loses to Purdue, curb stomped by OSU, & can’t beat one of Wisky’s worst teams, that’s when ya hit em with the reality of the situation. A 2022 with Frost will have some legitimate consequences & painting that picture should get any donor thinking Nebraska>Frost.
