***Lubick said NU had an entire play sheet for plays to use against an even front and called much of the game off of it. He said many of the problems came down to those plays not working or being executed the way they were supposed to.
So...they split their call sheets for an odd and an even front...I get you'll like certain things vs certain fronts....but what in the actual fuck...
***Lubick said the key to establishing a downhill running game was winning one-on-one blocking matchups to open up holes and create a push up front. He said NU didn't win nearly enough of those early in the game and then had to "be more aggressive" with the pass after falling behind in the second half.
Well if your OL isn't winning 1:1 blocking matchups against fucking Illinois...then what the fuck are you going to do vs the big dogs....Can we just settle on a couple zone schemes, and a gap scheme, and build around those...regardless of the fucking front. My jimmies are in full rustle crowe mode...
***Beckton said head coach Scott Frost pointed out every flaw a player made against Illinois in front of the whole team. He said if you ‘sugarcoat’ it, the mistakes won’t be fixed.
I don't even...
And apparently, I've got a free 3 months on the tater farm....
