You shouldn’t pay high school qb recruits much in most cases should be the stance for most teams.This is super interesting (and shouldn't be a huge surprise to anyone):
2023 class: 7 out of the top 8 QB's transferred
2024 class (Dylan): 7 out of the top 9 QB's transferred
You have 14 out of the 17 top HS QB recruits transferring within 2 years. Pretty nuts.
I don't buy the "you don't recruit HS QB's anymore" but I will say unless you think he's a day 1 starter, you don't pay HS QB's anymore.

247 Husker Podcast thinks the biggest priority is to make sure that Lateef isn't just given the job out of the spring. Basically to bring someone in to compete with him and possibly beat him out. I don't hate this. Someone that either A) has produced at a lower level B) someone that was highly rated but just hasn't beaten out the guy in front of them because they are so good.
They haven't given up on Lateef. Should we? He was injured vs Cockeye, I doubt you could argue that he was the biggest problem against Penn State.
If you consider who that could be: Minchey from ND, Joseph from ODU, what if Husan Longstreet decides to transfer because USC's starter is coming back? I'm sure other names that are mentioned in here.
Sometimes I wonder if they are the same person with multiple personalities and they dont even realize it as the personalities only know their own login credentials.
If you look at the cfp there’s a wide variety of transfer qbs that have been successful. I think it’s a lot more what you put around them than the qb themself.
What about Lincoln from tOSU if he enters the portal?

Have to ask how many elite QBs are in college football right now with eligibility in '26?

Then a big drop off. CJ Carr is >15 points in passer efficiency below Sayin and he's 5th. Only guy ranked higher is Mestemaker.

I would strongly question if sayin is elite. I’d bet DR would put up similar production in Columbus.
