We also preview the Nebrasketball top 15 matchup against Michigan State and sadly spend some time recapping the Vegas Bowl against Utah

Good job guys. Couple comments:

1) Glad to hear we're targeting 4 OL in the portal, need a bunch. Is JEJ out of eligibility? Interesting that they're pursuing the NDSU C.

2) RB room is in no way going to be okay without a major portal addition. The UConn RB mentioned would be fantastic. Ideally, we'd snag a second RB for depth.

3) Surprised Chambliss and his house hunting wasn't mentioned. Agree on the desire to bring in multiple SDSU guys to ease the transition to Aurich's defense.

@Seaofred92, you talked about the last win over Michigan state in December, 2023. You mentioned Nebraska has a better team now. I tend to agree. I think its obvious, especially on the defensive end

Thanks Choc. I think the idea with OL like Garrett mentioned is to get a few immediate plug and play guys while also adding a few with multiple years of eligibility. Gottula is a swing piece and the portal adds are all somewhat connected IMO… land a RT and that changes the other pieces you chase. Miss a T and Gottula stays there you need more interior guys

I didn’t say it on the pod but I still think Edwards is prioritizing the NFL… with the idea being if and when he gets feedback he doesn’t like he will use that to help select his next school. I would imagine NU could just point to the EJ tape and tell him he’s the next one there… very similar catching ability out of the backfield for both

Think the Chambliss piece was just an oversight on our end. I would expect assuming things go positively this weekend he will be N

It’s night and day, the two things this team doesn’t get enough credit for because of how well we play offensively is defense and rebounding. This is without a doubt the best team Fred has put together on both fronts there - the boards are an absolute game changer
