Why are they trying to drive on ski slopes?

Its a shame they don't get weather forecasts up there, because I live 1800 miles from there and even I knew this massive storm was happening. There are certain events you do NOT venture forth in, and a blizzard generating 10-12 FEET of snow is one of them. Darwin is going to claim a few out of this one.

no it isn't...I've done that. It's boring and most the time the pilots aren't even looking at you
