I was up late watching that live. Horrible. Then watching the coverage the next day thinking why did the media sanitize the footage? Why knot let people see what really happened.

I will never forget it.

Yea, some of that footage was nightmare fuel. I remember seeing people on foot trying to figure out which way to run; people in cars reversing course ... and getting swept away anyway; people hopping up on flatbed trailers in flat fields ... and getting swept away anyway. It was surreal watching the footage going, "I just watched a human being die." Nothing to do but pray for their souls. Horrific moment in history.
