THE LEGEND OF SNAKE🐍🍺
#Houston Oilers quarterback and legendary "good times" guy Ken "Snake" Stabler stays out all Saturday night in New York. He arrives back at the team's hotel on Sunday morning — while his teammates are enjoying their pregame meal.
Completely hungover, Snake fires four first half interceptions against the #Jets at Shea Stadium — including Ken Schroy's 82-yard pick-six. Houston trails 21-0 at halftime.
Stabler reportedly vomits during the break, then proceeds to fire FOUR fourth-quarter touchdown strikes — the last with 1:30 left in regulation — to send the contest into overtime.
The #Oilers would ultimately fall to New York, 31-28, but Snake's turnaround performance is certainly one for the books.
