My read is that things could continue on as they are as long as they keep the collective model. But the minute they try to have the schools pay the athletes directly then that is where this thing would kick in.

This wouldn't affect what 1890 is doing because 1890 isn't the school. I know people like Turd Alberts wanted to have the schools handle NIL payments though. But that hasn't started yet.

Yes. Title 9 is there whether the Department of Ed is or not. All it takes is for female athletes to sue arguing non-equal school payments are a violation

This is affecting what it was allegedly going to evolve into. Revenue from the school being shared with the players. Naturally the idea was most was going to go to football.
