Threads per page error

I’ve been working on trying to figure out that issue where suddenly some of us only see a few threads per page today.

I was told that the issue could be due to PHP-FPM and to try disabling it. I was just able to do that and don’t know if it could start other issues, but I hope not.

If you were one of those who kept having the thread issue, please let me know if it happens again. Also please let me know if anything else weird happens. Hopefully this fixes the issue. Thanks!

Probably unrelated to the threads per page thing, but pulling up the console I notice a lot of websocket connection failures on here. Dunno what it's used for on here, maybe related to notifications or chat.
 
Also, unless something was weirdly misconfigured, I really doubt PHP-FPM was the problem, here. PHP-FPM is pretty much the standard way to run PHP apps these days, and it's usually a good bit faster than mod_php.
 
Seems like whenever the twitter thread appears, that cuts off the threads on the page. I am seeing that thread right now show up on page 2 and page 3 by itself. Is there something unique about that thread other than how big it is that could be causing it?

It seems to happen with huge threads like that one. It has to have something to do with the size

It sounds like some people are still experiencing the error so you're probably right. No one seems to know whats causing it though.
 
Yeah, if I could reproduce it I might be able to at least tell if it's front-end or back-end, but I've only seen it myself once or twice, and that was months ago.

It hasn't happened to me since turning off php-fpm. But what's weird is that if it was happening to me, I could log out and login as a different user and then could see all of the threads. So I know it wasn't anything specific to my browser, computer, etc.
