1: Hutmacher has been exactly what we needed him to be and more.

2: The heavy rotation on defense has allowed guys to stay healthy for the most part and develop young guys for the future. It's amazing how many contribute week to week.

3: We absolutely need the other team to have an anemic offense and the good news is that the rest of our schedule basically has that.

4: Emmet Johnson, a guy who was bitched about when we offered him a scholarship, is a revelation. Came in and worked and is now doing what he can to help. He's not a world beater but I'll be damned if he's not a great story.

5: I was a bit surprised we didn't see Sims. Rhule sure is rolling with HH. Maybe trying to preserve Sims redshirt??? He has 3 appearances, right? That could help him in many different ways.

6: Good for Alvano. I've been rough on him, but was glad to see him nail one finally.

- Sims should be QB1...and it's not even close. Haarberg is so limited in the passing game. He can't make the simple throws and it comes out of his arm so weird, our WRs can't even haul it in when he is accurate.
- Unreal how many hits the WR room has taken. Top 4 guys from fall camp are all out.

Also top two RB and now top two OL. Top QB a disaster.

I think you’re forgetting Sims’ first three games. Neither of them want ANYTHING to do with going through a progression. It is pre-snap says go here, lock in on that person, defense easily defends the person who is locked on

It would be interesting to see the actual data but I’m guessing that this freshman class might already have one of the higher hit rates that we have seen over the last 10 years. There are already so many solid 2 deep contributions especially on defense.

Also the hit rate on transfers seems really high as well. Besides the 2 lineman who felt like longer term guys and not immediate contributors we have been doing well.

These are very positive signs for this coaching staff.

Comparing this transition class to Frost’s transition class in like 3 years is going to be freaking fascinating

These are the guys that at least played from Frost's transition class:

Maurice Washington
Cam Taylor-Britt
Caleb Tannor
Braxton Clark
Casey Rogers
Will Honas
Greg Bell
Deontai Williams
Adrian Martinez
Jaron Woodyard
Barret Pickering
Cameron Jurgens

But really only 6 of those guys completed their career here.

So far in Rhule's first class:
Cameron Lenhardt
Malachi Coleman
Princewell Umanmielan
Jaylen Loyd
Tristan Alvano
Riley Van Poppel
Jaidyn Doss

Already 7 guys that look to be solid contributors.

What makes people think Rhule is frustrated with the fans and media? I think overall things have been fairly chill. Obviously the frost lovers in the media and fanbase are pretty annoying but should be pretty easy to tune them out.

He's made some pointed comments about the offense that you can tell are in response to the commentary around that unit's struggles.

Even mentioned booing in the stadium and how he basically has PTSD from his time at Carolina.

It's subtle but he's definitely trying to combat the outside criticism at least imo.

Interesting. I'm surprised that he's surprised about criticism of a horrendous offense.

Flash! 3:50am, you sleep in today sumbitch!!?? ⚡️⚡️⚡️

I think he's surprised that a supposedly knowledgeable fan base can't see that they are producing wins with a mash unit offense that started the season razor thin at all positions.
Defensive coaches getting it done. Offense has been abysmal. I get the lack of depth and injuries, but even before that really became an issue we were completely inept on O to the point that we looked like a HS freshman team that had barely practiced.
