Was at the game last night and sat with a Miami fan who was in town for work who decided to attend his first NU game. During our conversations this individual seemed to be pretty plugged into the CFB scene through the people they know in their work and clients. The individual couldn't have been a nicer person and was nothing but incredibly respectful, and was engaged the whole game rooting for NU.
Here was their thoughts during the game:
- Thinks Miami is a top 5 team this year.
- Nico from TN is the real freaking deal.
- SEC > BIG.
- Matt Rhule is a very good coach and highly respected in the coaching ranks.
- NU is a blueblood in CFB.
- NU will be Matt Rhule's last head coaching job.
- NU has an absolutely massive NIL operation that is very competitive (made it sound like our top 10 ranking was justified).
- Matt Rhule will get NU going in the right direction, with the 12 team CFP there is no reason NU isn't a near annual participant.
- There is practically no job better then NU once it gets rolling, there is no competition for funds outside of this program.
- NU infrastructure is absolutely massive, your facilities are by far and away the best in all of CFB.
- Dylan Raiola is the real deal, he is incredible for being a true freshman.
- Tunnel walk was awesome, light show was outstanding, drone show was COOL!
- Best fans in CFB.
- Shocked at how little we blitzed.
- DL looks like trash, thought they were better then they showed.
- #5 for IL was a shorter DB, our tall WR's should win that matchup pretty much every time 9/10.
- TE should have caught that easy TD pass, that was on the TE.
- OL doesn't look too bad, overall pass protection was easily enough to win.
- ST's are truly special, you guys need to get that figured out.
