This seems crazy....

Allen is NFL bound.
Vokolek might stay and might move on.
Fidone is still an unknown at the college level and now has a busted but repaired wheel to possibly complicate matters.
Borchircher (spelling??) Based on Frost's love of walk ons you gotta assume he'll have a role to play but probably isn't scaring anyone in the Big 10.
Hickman is too slow for WR and too small for TE.
Brewington seems like something to work with in some capacity for 2022.
Carnie hasn't made any news that I can remember.

Even if Vokolek stays and Fidone works out it still look like to me that we need another unless Brewington is more than just a good blocker on the goal line. An injury to this group could hamstring us if we are in season and shorthanded.

I think it entirely depends on Vokolek. If he stays, I think we stand pat where we’re at. If he moves on, then I think we need to find someone to fill that “blocking TE” role while Fidone fits more of the “receiving TE” role Allen had.

Seems good....until you realize that Vokolek has been injured more than available in each of his years at Nebraska and nobody knows how Fidone will turn out after his injury. We could be looking at Big 10 play with Hickman as our main guy.

I mean last year we signed the highest rated TE class in 5 years nationally.
You will likely get Vokolek for 1 more year as "the guy" and Fidone will be TE2.
