Nebraska gonna losewhat is ngl thanks gbr ?!
NGL I want Farmer's blackshirt taken away before the first game. Dude is slow and can't tackle.
I agree. He had 2 INTs against NW 2 years ago and then got hurt. From what I've heard coaches say that he knows his assignments and has good instincts which can make up for lack of speed. Besides those 2 INTs though he looks like he is just going through the motions. Maybe that injury slowed him down but I just haven't been impressed.I'm not high on the guy's ability. Although he has made some big plays, int's, etc.
He is slow, and isn't a great tackler. Those are two things that aren't good for a safety (or any football player). That being said, he is a starter, so the coaches must think he is the best option right now. I am hopeful he is at least good, and not a liability.
I think we may have some guys behind him who may be better overall, but it's gonna play out on the field - if Farmer doesn't get the job done, they will give other guys shots to do so. I just hope he doesn't make mistakes that cost us games if he isn't getting the job done until we can play a guy who may be better.
I wonder if he's gotten better at anticipation. My recollection is when he got beat on the flea flicker last year against Michigan State it was more a case of being caught flat footed than not being fast enough to get there.I agree.
