Sign Up Now!This actually sounds kind of manipulative. He couldn’t handle his emotions during the game but then would explain after that he was just teaching them a lesson.I know Pelini is hated among most Husker fans, however, his players respected him and would do anything for him to this day. A lot of the players I've talked to about him say they same thing, on the field he was hard and yelled a lot (I saw a lot of that at practices), however, when it was said and done he'd usually follow up with a calm approach and teach the lesson behind it. He created a family and anyone who spoke negative or attacked him or his players he took it personally and would lash out at them.
I'm pretty sure he's biopolar or can't control his impulse anger.

He would have unless he got a Big 12 title. Harv was on a mission to get rid of him. Kenny Bell talks about some of it in Nick Bahe’s podcast.100 percent agree. I always wonder if we stayed in Big 12 does Bo ever get fired
I still believe his bunker mentality and us (locker room) against the world, is part of why his players have his back. But it wasn’t healthy for Nebraska.
