I still have no idea why anyone would chose Cockeye if they presumably had a lot of opportunities. The only positive I could see would that he would pretty much be guaranteed the job
I don't think he materially changes Cockeye's offense as a starter. He's still going to run their same offense since Kirk started there. Different QB, same plays and conservative approach as always. He's not as big of a palooka as Pedras but he's also not a playmaker.
So he's pretty much like every Cockeye QB since Brad Banks graduated.
I'm happy that Ferentz forgot what a two-dimensional QB and Heisman finalist did for his program. Ever since then he's been scouring the HS ranks for telephone poles.
