I think they're cool AF. I'm impressed with the technology and creativity behind them. I still prefer a top-tier fireworks display, but the drone thing has grown on me and I'm looking forward to what they'll do next with them.

I defy any human to watch the footage of a small unpiloted consumer-size drone with a payload of one small grenade in the Russia-Ukraine war chase a soldier as he frantically sprints around a vehicle trying (in vain) to stay shielded & still be able to maintain unfettered optimism about where this is going.

Yea, I've seen those, too. Terrifying.

But we're talking about drones used for entertaining, not militarized drone swarms. I'm not sure my DJI video drone is a clear and present danger to anyone in the neighborhood.
