Has anyone ever had to deal with this? I'm having really bad ankle pain and am struggling to walk. I got x-rays done yesterday which all came up negative, so went to a foot and ankle doctor today who said it's probably tendonitis or gout. I'd like to know how to get it to go away quickly so that I can start walking again 🤣

Nathan? Is that you?

My brother in law just got an MRI for the same exact thing this morning and is just thinking it has to be gout at this point. He drinks a ton of red wine and a ton of red meat...apparently those are 2 big culprits.

That sucks. I hope his gets better soon. I’m leaning more towards mine being tendonitis. I hope so anyway.

I've been battling tendinitis in my ankle too. Really makes it tough for running and whatnot. Idk if it's the right move, but I just toughed it out and as long as I stay in a routine it doesn't bother me.

Tendinitis can not get worse at least that is what I was told when I had it in my elbow several times, it is something that is so unbearable you have to take time to heal or fight through it

Gout the downs!

If it's gout, dietary changes (less of some meats, booze, high fructose corn syrupy things) will make a difference. If it's tendonitis, more of a rest & ice thing. Soaking it in an epsom salts bath can be helpful for inflammation either way.

Get a good collagen supplement and take 30-60 grams a day

Not a permanent fix but it might help you feel better in the short term
I’ve taking a collagen powder with my protein shakes and it ran out earlier this week. Little aches starting to reappear. Need to buy more

Getting older sucks, huh?

Seriously though, I've been battling freaking sciatica for the better part of a week now. Never experienced this before but it sucks! Shooting pain from my right glute down my leg to mid-calf. Early on, it hurt so much to stand that at church I had to sit down because I thought I was going to throw up. Can't sleep because I can't find a position to lay where my leg isn't in pain. Been to the chiropractor twice this week and it's getting a little better, but it's sure taking its sweet time...

Not sure if it is sustainable, but I find drinking heavily until it is numb helps me walk when my knee hurts.

Get a racquet ball and use it to break up the fascia on the bottoms of your feet, and a also your calves. You might also look into a deep tissue massage of your feet, ankles, calves, and surrounding muscles. Plus the collagen and sodium like people have recommended above.

Idk but if you figure it out let me know. I have it in my wrist terribly and have never found a solution outside of just trying to avoid flareups.
