TCU game stats through the 1st Q: 4 penalties and 1 horrific turnover. And they're at HOME.

Minnesota had 3-25 penalties and 1 turnover the entire game Thursday night.

This is just a PSA for those who want to fire Rhule and the entire staff already. Starting off on the road vs a top 5 B1G program is a very very difficult draw to start off a new HC tenure. TCU has already made more mistakes in 10:00 of 1st Q than a good B1G team would make all game.

***this is not an excuse for Rhule/we gotta own the L. Point is that's a tough opening game and you don't need to fire the entire staff over that loss***

How does CU look like they have been playing football all off season with a bunch of new players? CU has zero penalties. Their oline is already better than Nebraska's.

TCU looks terrible honestly. Sloppy.
TCU lost a bunch of veteran players like their QB & stud WR. TCU definitely looking sloppy right now. 7/56 on penalties.

I was shocked to hear the announcers say that Hunter had already played over 50 snaps for CU, and it wasn't even halftime. A snaps pace like that will take it's toll on him, especially since he is a bit slighter of stature.

My point w the thread is Nebraska should not schedule road games vs mistake-free B1G teams as season openers. It's just a really tough ask for a struggling program like ours.

They should schedule Big 12 teams who commit 15 penalties in the game like Colorado did LOL.

The B1G wanting their television revenue from us. Could have really used a cupcake like a Chatanooga or Louisiana-Lafayette to work out some of the kinks.

Yeah Colorado is the more equivalent comparison here but that doesn't fit the narrative lol.

They didn't even get all off-season since they basically didn't get spring practice. They have one false start. They're playing to their strengths and making it look pretty easy.

I'm just tired of this shit. If this doesn't work with Rhule and I have to see us go through another coaching hire where the hiring of certain assistants has to be rationalized, I will lose my fucking mind. Rhule should have ditched most of this team and hired assistants with real experience.

Opponent has something to do with it though.

TCU is extremely sloppy even for a home team. And they're overrated at #17. They'll probably finish 30-40 this year (they lost so much).

I think CU would have looked different vs a stodgy B1G team like Minnesota on the road. MN commits 2-3 penalties per game. CU has benefitted from all of the TCU penalties and sloppiness.

Is that what it is? And this is a serious question. Does Nebraska basically have zero say in their schedule? It's my opinion that conference teams should take turns with starting at a conference foe on the road. And maybe that's what's happening, I haven't paid consistent attention to others schedules in the B1G.

All I know is we've had road or neutral games against a conference foe, for 4 consecutive years.
