Special teams analyst moving on to pursue other opportunities

Surprising

I figured Frost would give him at least 2 years

Anybody got any leads on this one? Bill Busch and Carlos Polk are the early names.

At least we only gave this guy $150,000/yr. We burned $450,000 on Riley's special teams coordinator, who accomplished about as much.

Verdu to QB Analyst hopefully. That would open a full time spot.
ooooooooooo that's probably the slick move to bring in a Bill Busch. Sean hinted at it earlier. I don't know much about him, but sounds like he's a Nebraska guy.

Bill Busch - he's been touted as a good recruiter, but a bit of an ass to his players. Here's his coaching experience:

COACHING EXPERIENCE
1989 Nebraska Wesleyan (graduate assistant/defensive ends
1990-93 Nebraska (graduate assistant/secondary)
1994 Wisconsin (graduate assistant)
1995-96 Northern Arizona (secondary, 1995; co-defensive coordinator/secondary, 1996)
1997-00 New Mexico State (secondary)
2001-03 Utah (safeties, 2001-02; secondary, 2003)
2004-07 Nebraska (outside linebackers/special teams coordinator, 2004; safeties/special teams coordinator, 2005-07)
2009-12 Utah State (defensive coordinator, 2009-10; associate head coach/safeties/special teams coordinator, 2011-12)
2013-14 Wisconsin (safeties)
2015 Ohio State (defensive quality control)
2016-17 Rutgers (defensive backs, 2016; co-defensive coordinator/defensive backs, 2017)
2018-20 LSU (safeties)

Looks like he's be about as qualified, based on time as a P5 assistant as the rest of the staff combined.

Hire the best ST coach you can find regardless of Nebraska connections though
I will say that I'm intrigued by Polk. He's got ST experience in the NFL and it would add to the diversity of your staff. Busch would probably be more qualified based on the breadth of his experience, but there's something to be said for optics. I know that Steve Warren and Matt Vrzal both tweeted that we should look at him first.
