Softball in Regionals 2025

Did this girl transfer from Ohio State? Sees like I've seen her work before. Talented.

Ava Kuszak originally went to Wisconsin. Family are huge Husker fans.

Her little brother is at Northeast CC in Norfolk playing baseball. Not sure if he's good enough for Lincoln but he has another year to prove himself.

Their mom & I went to school together back in the day. We were pretty good friends.

Article:
Liberty pulled off the biggest shocker, knocking out the No. 1 overall seed, Texas A&M. The Aggies are the first No. 1 seed that failed to reach the super regionals since the format began in 2005, and the Flames are in the supers for the first time in program history.

Texas A&M won the first game 14-11 in 8 innings and lost the final game 6-5.

Both of these games were good. But a lot of errors on both teams. Several lead changes also. Glad Liberty got the win in the second game. They really did a good job of not losing their composure after losing first game.

Northwestern 3 less
Cockeye 1 less
Washington equal

Indiana equal
Penn State 2 less
Purdue 1 less
Illinois 4 less
Michigan State 9 less
Minnesota 4 less
Maryland 5 less

Southern teams play earlier and more games. We are well within normal number of games for Northern teams and teams from the B1G.
They all start on the same weekend as the southern teams. It comes down to us not playing many midweek games this season. Our only midweek games are UNO and Pickle Smoochers where most these other teams are playing at least one midweek every week during the season. Guessing it has to do with travel time and costs where we don’t have as many teams within close proximity.
