Scottie Sheffler detained

Jesus he's being charged with a felony. Little much there fellas
Apparently he kept driving forward "slowly", as he put it, with the cop affixed to his car, which led one cop to say on a radio transmission that the driver attempted to run the cop over.

That being said, I am not sure why there are people arguing cops should have absolute immunity. It would be like the bad old days when I was a teenager and the cops were beating the crap out of everyone.

No way he gets a felony. He’ll either plead down or have it dismissed.

He’s a white, male golfer just imagine how hard you would have to fuck it up to be charged with a goddamn felony over this.

He'll plead to a misdemeanor, I'd guess

That’s my guess as well.

As somebody already pointed out: it’s the scene of a death. The police are doing to be on edge and for fuck’s sake follow directions.

I think a little common sense needs to be used here on the law enforcement side. I understand there is law and definition, but come on now.

I don't think cops should have immunity. There's right and wrong for everything and everyone and accountability should still be standard. That cop is fucked

Sounds like Scheffler was following directions, but the offficer involved didn't know what was going on
