Dont squib there because you worry about a 2nd line guy kneeling on it on like the 35 or 40. The better question is why not have your kicker kick it high to about the 5-10 yard line. Make them fair catch it there or return it.

Putting the returning in the inconvenient situation of having to decide whether to fair catch it to save time or running it for extra yards seems like it was the right call

I don't get the point of setting a time limit. They just played 4 quarters. If it's 2 defensive teams it might take 20 min for one of them to kick a FG.

I didn't like when you could just get the ball and go down and kick a FG.
