Sounds like the Euros have been around for 2 weeks playing all the legendary courses on Long Island and the met area, having dinners, making a nice little trip out of it. They just have the camaraderie and culture of a team. Enviable.

I saw a clip from Sean Foley one time that for the life of me I can’t track down. But the point he made was that all of these guys have basically been walking alone since they were kids. The nature of elite junior golf in America is very individualistic and they’re forced to become super self-reliant from a very young age. They just don’t have a lot of loyalty to anyone or anything outside of themselves.

I think the Americans just struggle to adapt to the team game now. The nature of golf in Europe is that you’re traveling around to a bunch of different countries and there are
some closer relationships that get formed as a result. Plus, the euros all stick together when they come over to the PGA Tour so I think there is already a ton of built in camaraderie.

Nothing other people haven’t already said, but if I had to pinpoint a reason for our recent difficulties that’s probably it.
