“If I can’t continue doing shows on a regular basis, I just want to be well enough to do one show where I can say, ‘Hi guys, thanks so much for my life.’ That’s what I’m working towards, and if I drop down dead at the end of it, I’ll die a happy man.”

- Ozzy, this past February when they were planning the show

The man got his wish.

Read where he stopped taking prescribed drugs in order to perform this show as well.

Paris would have been a cool locale to take them in. My first time seeing them was at the old Pershing Auditorium in Lincoln. They had "just another band out of Boston" called "Boston" as the warm-up band that night.

I also got a chance to see them kick off their farewell tour here in Omaha, which IIRC they cancelled after only three more appearances. Ozzie just couldn't do it anymore. Geezer, Bill and Tony were solid AF and still brought the music that night.
