Lost my lap dog a while back. Walking out on the acreage to dig the hole for her final resting spot was terribly emotional. Not gonna lie - I wept and dug at the same time for a few moments. And it was tougher on the kids.
I'm sorry for your loss. I can get frustrated with my dog often, but pets are great companions, loyal, and always excited to see you. You can't say that about too many humans.
Been watching What we do in the Shadows so that's instantly where my mind went seeing the thread title. RIP to your doggo, we truly do not deserve them. One of mine is getting up there and I know the day is coming sooner than I like to think about.
