Im Not Crying Youre Crying GIF

Rhamir's mom passed away in Nov. Before she died, he refused to go home and miss games. The University stepped up and provided care for her as she entered hospise. He didn't tell anyone on the team and wanted to keep it from being a distraction.

Much better when Coach Rhule tells it. It's towards the beginning of the press conference clip posted above.

I wondered why Rhule was getting so emotional in his immediate post game on the field - he called Rahmir over to take the questions so he wouldn’t start crying

Rahmir may go down as one of the most ride or die Huskers of all time. Anyone else you put in that category experienced some level of success and spotlight. He was ALWAYS been a near forgotten second option at best on a bunch of bad and underperforming teams, and yet you still have to respect and love him for sticking around when the whole world would be telling him to transfer like the 10k other kids that did so while he stayed true to his commitments.

I still believe if he hadn't gone down to injury 2 years ago he would have had a better career and probably would have been the starter for the past couple of years.

I wonder if he has an interest in coaching at all. Definitely seems like a guy that Rhule would take under his wing as a GA tomorrow.

Dude went through so much stuff at Nebraska and never wavered to n his commitment to the team or community.

A kid from New Jersey ended being the penultimate Cornhusker.
