Listed below are the players that we are recruiting for each position and the potential number of recruits we are taking at each position. Included in this list are players who have committed to Nebraska, players who have a "warm" status on 247, players who have a crystal ball to Nebraska on 247, and players who are taking officials visits to Nebraska. June 1 — The recruiting period officially opens. Recruits can come to campus for camps, visits or workouts. Coaches can attend satellite camps.

June 4 — Nebraska’s first Friday Night Lights camp. The Huskers will have recruits on campus for combine style testing and then go through position drills. It is still unclear if fans or the media will be able to attend as they have in years past.

June 4-5 — Lindenwood Camp in suburban St. Louis. Perhaps the biggest satellite camp in the area with players from all over the midwest attending. Nebraska is expected to have coaches in attendance.

June 4-6 — First visit weekend. Nebraska currently has eight visitors scheduled.

June 11-13 — Second visit weekend. Nebraska currently has three visitors scheduled.

June 18 — Nebraska’s first Friday Night Lights camp. The Huskers will have recruits on campus for combine style testing and then go through position drills. It is still unclear if fans or the media will be able to attend as they have in years past.

June 18-20 — Third visit weekend. Nebraska currently has three visitors scheduled.

June 19 — Pipeline camp. Nebraska hosted an Adidas based offensive line and defensive line camp, featuring some former linemen as counselors in 2019. The camp is being reprised again in 2021.

June 25-27 — Final visit weekend. Nebraska currently has two visitors scheduled.

June 28-July 24 — Dead period. The NCAA has not yet said if this period will remain as written, but previous schedule iterations has this as a no in-person contact period.

That list isn't great. Like, not great at all. Like...holy shit we need to win 9 games really bad.
We have offered a lot of other players. These are just the ones who are showing interest initially. The June camps should get us on the radar of more players, and then we will be able to bring in more players in the fall to attend our games which will land us some getter recruits.

I'm not thrilled with our recruiting at this point but not sounding the alarm yet either. There seems to be a lot of recruiting angst, questioning who tf are we recruiting, around this time every year.

247 4* (0.9000) who we offered a year ago. He's a CB to Michigan State though.

I added a few names:

DL - Chris McClellan (4* 0.9079) (Oklahoma State CB)
RB - Ashton Hayes (3* 0.8789)
S - Nathan Vail (3* 0.8577)
OT - Valen Erickson (3* 0.8477)

Tyler Martin is a 4* ILB who is a CB to Arizona. He has done a virtual tour with Nebraska and is also visiting us in June. Dawson and Ruud are his recruiters. Hopefully we get a commit from him.

Does anyone know how many recruits we will for sure be able to take this year? I had really thought about this until now but super juniors like Martinez will count against the scholarship limit next year if they come back, which means we won't be able to sign as many high school players as we normally do.
