It's so bizarre that I can't even really comment. I guess they're taking a big swing at the idea that everyone from last year's roster is going to use their extra Covid year in the future, right? So this is almost like a "bonus" class in their minds? Maybe it'll work out ok in the end, but I don't know. Any time I think about it I feel like I'm missing something.

Real head scratcher why this staff is struggling so much with recruiting. Getting tired of all of the excuses so many of our fans want to continually make for the coaches. No Excuse for being LAST in the B1G in recruiting, dead last in every category. We have 9 commits, and looked at Rivals and if we had commits from the Top 9 players in the state of Nebraska we would have a MUCH higher rated class. Winners find a way to win, Losers make excuses.

There was some talk on 247 that we have had some 2022 visitors for these past 2 night games but it was kept under wraps because those players are committed elsewhere. I don't know if there is any truth to that though.

We are probably only going to take 3 or 4 more HS commits, and then use the rest of the space on transfers after the season - probably 4-6 guys. If were were to get a few higher rated HS guys to finish the class it might salvage the class a little bit.

I can confirm there were several more recruits for both games than reported touring. Waterboy doesn’t really follow recruiting or care but he mentioned it after Mich. so this makes sense.

That would appear to be true. But there are a lot of smart coaches all over the country that also understand the numbers distribution and the dynamics at play...and are taking full classes.

I never really GAF about recruiting generally but in a year with a class size of 13 - and everyone from last year getting an extra year of eligibility - and the new transfer portal rules - I extra DGAF this year.
