After a rewatch of the Purdue game last week and from what I saw in the stadium today, I’m really not as down on our O line as most are. I just don’t think our backs have that great of vision.

Emmett shows decent vision in the open field and has had a couple plays where he was able to find the cutback at the LOS which is great. Otherwise, our guys continue to run into tacklers or the back of our lineman while there’s a running lane one gap over.

Am I wrong?

Rhamir and Emmett are the best. The play that Rhamir went down to the 10 on he waited for the play to develop better than any back we’ve had since Ameer.

Dowdell had one on first down from the 2 that I think if he makes one guy miss he takes for 98 yards.

Today the OL was fine for run blocking, but because we had 3(?) drives start inside our own 3 YL it was going to be tough to not be predictable.

Rutgers did better than anyone getting pressure on Dylan. Schiano is a doucher. But he’s not a moron.

Consensus at the game party I was at today was the RB's left a lot of yards on the field. There were some massive holes that would have created some big runs if we had great RB's.

O-Line wasn’t the problem today. They did enough. RBs have to do a better job waiting for play to develop.

Sats play called wasn’t great either tho.

You are sadly not wrong.

Even my wife who barely pays attention was asking today why the RBs keep running in to the backs of the OL when there were massive holes

I agree. I’ve actually been pleasantly surprised by the OL overall this season, especially with Gottula and Lutovsky having to see extended time.
