Breaking Raiola is returning

Lol
Yes I’m sure both of you will be excited for the future if Deions side show embarrasses us.
I thought Rhule was the right hire
His staff build is making him look like a Jessie Gemstone level grifter. Nothing about the staff he’s hired gives me any confidence of us being able to recruit or develop at an elite level
Even the S&C guy is green
I’m not convincing myself anymore of things being different that what they look like on the surface.
We are a bottom level program with an inexperienced staff. Maybe these are all undiscovered diamonds. But we are years away from knowing & we all know patience has run out. 0-2 start puts us on a path for a 1 or 2 win season. Nobody is going to accept that & Rhule will be done before it even gets started bc he chose a bunch of inexperienced nobodies hired at top 10 salaries
Who is Jesse Gemstone?

Mickey explicitly said he wasn't going to tell Whipple what to do.
Apparently since he let him trot Purdy out there almost the entire game against Minnesota. They play smothers that game they probably win.

I’m just perplexed and hoping it makes more sense as time goes on I guess? Sure it wasn’t “all his fault” but when you’re in charge of the worst OL in Nebraska history that had multiple laugh out loud awful moments throughout the year I can’t really imagine what would mitigate that enough to earn another shot with a new staff.

I kinda thought maybe OL and DC would be like the “veteran established success” hires but maybe the idea is to hopefully be able to have the same staff together for like 15 years? Haha this group is just not at all what any of us expected or hoped for. I’m not one to care about the salary numbers but obviously these aren’t the resumes of a Top Ten In The Country staff. Still onboard with Rhule and his vision but it’s been a pretty surprising start. Let’s hope it works!! 😬
