Breaking Raiola is N

I have no idea how good of a coach he will be, but very confused by the hire in regards to Frost and his job security.

Notice how when he hires a high level P5 assistant coach (Mickey Joseph), we immediately have new offers out to dudes who are shoulders above our current class, in home visits lined up, visits being set, etc.

That recruiting pipeline is there, rerouted, and turned back on.

Frost had one of the worst P5 lines and is losing his best piece. His future hangs on the success of next year.

So he hires an assistant offensive line coach from one of the NFL's worst OL units who also has no actual college coaching experience as an assistant as the choice to fix one of his weakest units while also one of the most vital to his overall success? This guy is going to be starting from scratch recruiting. His contact list he picked up from the NU recruiting office probably has a bunch of small school kids from Nebraska, Cockeye and Kansas. Just a strange move when the timeline for success is so sped up.

Give me an OL full of these ass-kickers.

I played in college with a Tongan dude. He was a brick shithouse and I have no idea why he was playing NAIA football. He was a freak and rag dolled everyone who tried to block him. Trying to block him was the hardest task in practice I've ever experienced. But the dude was super nice off the field, good dude. But when the whistle blew...ho lee fuk
I love having some enormous nasty Poly's battling in the trenches. True Warriors. Chris Maumalanga was a Tongan that played D Line for KU. Pretty much everyone on the team knew he was a crazy fuck and nobody wanted to scrap with him. Freak of nature that you did not want to cross and he had a temper. After he was drafted by the Giants he had all kinds of problems with fights with teammates. Whooped one of their offensive linemen so bad in a brawl that he had to go to the hospital, and Chris had to be pulled off of him by a pile of teammates. Another time he went at it with Michael Strahan and somehow Strahan got him in a choke hold until teammates came to restrain Chris. Chris was actually suspended for a while because he swung a helmet at a teammate during a fight.

Crazy MoFo that you do not want to be around if his Tongan Rage comes out. That KU team had a bunch of large human beings that went on to play in the NFL including Dana Stubblefield, Keith Loneker & John Jones, and all of them were smart enough not to cross him. Keith Loneker was probably one of the largest human beings I've ever known plus one of the last human beings that I would ever want to have to fight, and even he made sure to stay on Chris's good side. Keith was known as "1 Punch" because generally a fight ended after 1 of his punches knocking someone out. Have heard some crazy stories about fights they got into, god help anyone dumb enough to brawl with those guys.

Agreed - which is why I believe he may have been one of the only REAL options.
