MWT right there at the top was a whif for lots of people, myself included. I didn't expect much versatility from him, but just thought he'd rack up tackles out the ass.

Others on that list that probably were overrated relative to their teammates:
Shavers
RVP
Buford
Lenhart

Underrated:
EJ
Marshall
Wright
Lindenmeyer

Could probably argue Hartzog was actually Underrated too considering how things looked with Guthrie/Buford as the 5th DB.

At least 6 out of the top 10 turned out to be guys that were nowhere near being top 10 type of players. Everyone was wrong about MWT.

This list doesn't give us a lot of hope for the future, with our best returnees arguably being JEJ and Andrew Marshall. 6-7 wins will be a tall task unless we're able to land 10+ impact players from the portal.

Kenneth Williams would be an interesting guy toward the end. He had some big impacts in a couple games.

LB actually might be my biggest concern for next year. I think we have young guys that can grow at DL.

I thought Watson-Trent would be at minimum a tackling machine. I watched a bit of film on him at Georgia Southern and he was a ball hawk. Don’t know if his speed was a bigger problem than not being able to understand the defense, but he frequently looked out of position and a step or three behind.

Another I thought would play a bigger role this year was RVP. Seriously thought he’d be looking like a legit Ty replacement by years end.

You'd be surprised. Davis had a foot out the door last year and the whole RVP situation is weird, redshirting him last year so he could be the "next ty rob" and then still having him behind Jeudy. Both guys were highly regarded, would have no trouble finding a spot somewhere.

You'd be surprised. Davis had a foot out the door last year and the whole RVP situation is weird, redshirting him last year so he could be the "next ty rob" and then still having him behind Jeudy. Both guys were highly regarded, would have no trouble finding a spot somewhere.

I think it’s going to be tough to keep both again this year. Something doesn’t seem right with RVP. Like you said, Davis was already there last year
