I think we have a shot at one high profile QB transfer simply because of Whipple and what he’s done with Pickett plus his resume. To me telling a kid that you coached a heisman finalist at QB this year and than showing them Pickett’s stats, is more then enough clout to reel in a legit transfer QB.

All these transfers want is to be a starter somewhere to showcase their skills for the next level. The offense and QB coach play a huge factor in that. We have both in spades if Whipple and Frost are both good salesman. Current state of the program as far as winning goes is less of a factor. These transfers just want a year or 2 in a system that can elevate their draft stock and then they bounce to get paid. Sounds selfish and probably unpopular to fans but that’s the nature of all major sports these days. WHAT CAN YOU DO FOR ME.
I have no fault in the logic. My thought is who in their right mind would come to a team that hasn't had a winning season in 5 years? If I'm a high profile transfer QB, I'm going to a spot that 1) has NIL figured out and 2) sets me up to play in a conference champ game then NY6 bowl. Nebraska has neither.

This is why Rattler makes a lot of sense to me. He fits the best as far as skill set and system. But he also saw us first hand and we gave him a hell of a game. Should be an easy sell - regardless of if you believe it or not, all you have to do is ask him who wins that game if we swap QBs. Add to it that we just added a "QB guru" to groom him and elevate his game to the next level.

We need an older guy and a younger guy.

So we could do Rattler and Ewers. Or we could do Brennan and Ewers.

You gotta think Rattler has been humbled after all the shit he went through.

He was projected as the #1 pick before the season. Yeah he fell off a bit and got benched to a dude who will be an all-american.

That kid can zip the shit out of a ball. He's played and won in big games. Let him distribute the rock to the receivers in space and let the play makers go off. He could be the Milton that Frost has been missing.

Or he could just shit the bed and tear the locker room apart. It is Nebraska after all
I'm not sure that kid has a humble bone in his body so I kinda doubt it. People think the piling on Martinez is bad sometimes, just wait til that ugly doucheface shows up and loses us a game.

Ewers would be number one for sure but as stated, that's not even a remote possibility. Give me Johnson.....probably not the first time I've said that before

If we switch qbs that game Oklahoma wins by 20.

Show me one example where he created rifts or caused issues amongst the team/in the locker room at OU.
