The real question is would you take Rattler over Smothers/Haarberg next year. From what I've seen..I would take Rattler. I'm sorry but I have absolutely no faith in the other two at this point. Maybe they will have a great offseason but I'm pretty open to a transfer qb even if he is the ugliest human to ever walk this planet. Not to mention the hype he would bring, ESPN would shit themselves.

Martinez takes too many risks. Rattler is too safe.
I think the locker room likes Martinez. I don’t know if anybody likes Rattler

I think it will be similar to this year, but I think Smothers will play within the scheme more than Martinez does.

So I think what they are trying to do will be similar, but I think how it is executed will look different.

There are a lot of passes I feel Martinez doesn't throw that are #1 reads that he doesn't throw trying to go for a bigger play. For example....

I have not watched Rattler much since we played them, but my impression was he struggled with being patient within the scheme. He wanted to force the ball deep and why I felt we would have opportunities to make some picks. IIRC we had 3 passes that we got 2 hands on. It has to be all mental with that kid because he has some serious arm talent.

I was actually told in Fall Camp that Martinez was the better QB. I was shocked, but that comment has aged really well.
