This loss was brutal. From Indianus’s first drive I felt it was already over. All 3 phases were awful. I think our players are over confident for God knows what reason—all talk and absolutely no action. Coaching is more than concerning. We have no identity. Rhule said he “didn’t see this coming.”

This just has the feeling of an end of season loss. How do the players respond to that? Have the coaches even shown they can adjust? Same crap today as the past few weeks but against a much better opponent that absolutely trashed us for it. There is nothing from that loss to say, “hey we did this well” and nothing to build any confidence on. I’m seeing other teams improve and our team is regressing.

We’ve been garbage since 1st half of Colorado. I figured Purdoodoo and Buttgers were just the classic “ugly big 10 wins” and the type of games we have been losing for so many years, but I still didn’t trust that I was seeing improvement.

I have a hard time seeing another win and think we will fold up. Over or under reaction?
 
Over reaction. It's been known for 3 or 4 weeks now this was going to be out next toughest game the rest of the year besides OSU. Now all of the sudden people act like we lost to Northern Illinois or Troy.

It was ugly, no doubt. And there are some things that need fixed. But there is no way one can reasonably look at UCLAbia, USC, Wisconsin, or Cockeye's body of work and say that's a likely 0-4 stretch. People need to relax and remember that our two losses have come to two top 25 teams with a combined 13-1 record. We aren't dropping games to Maryland, Colorado, Minnesota, Georgia Southern or Northwestern.

That was a call back to losses that shouldnt have been from the last two years. And the fact is Colorado didn't beat us, or even put up a fight.
 
I don't really get the question @OP tbh
I'm not sure how it can be an under reaction to say this is a season ending loss.
And to say that statement is an overreaction is the same thing as saying "no there are other games on the schedule"

I see the point. Over reaction vote would mean you think we will improve and win more. Basically should have been a yes or no poll on over reaction.

Im aware the score. I acknowledged this game sucked. But you need to step back and look at things if you think it's time to burn the thing down again.
 
Amazing how many idiots on here keep saying we lost to FCS players. Do you people not know James Madison is in their 3rd year of FBS, and would’ve already had a Sun Belt title if they were eligible to play in the game?
Not to mention that program regularly smokes P4 teams? Hell the skeleton of Cignetti JMU put 70 on Carolina in Chapel Hill earlier this year

Pre-season win total was 7.5. We’re gonna win 6-8 games. Seems like we’re playing to our expectation level. Everyone here needs to chill the fuck out.

Sure that’d be great but I don’t think that’s going to be reality. This likely isn’t a one game issue, it’s ongoing.
