I just look at the coaches circumstances. Kansas is a hard place to win at. I honestly thought Leipold and Rhule’s resume on program building wasn’t that much different. I never got the hate for Leipold. Both are quality coaches in my mind. They might. That's not really my point. Replace my post with 7-5 if you want.
I would've been okay with liepold I think but strongly preferred RhuleI just look at the coaches circumstances. Kansas is a hard place to win at. We probably fucked it up because we're Nebraska but last season's HC market was booming with quality candidates and you'd have to be Nebraska level bad to have fucked it upI would've been okay with liepold I think but strongly preferred Rhule
The only thing I favored Leipold in was the offensive part. The guy has an offensive system which produces points with whatever qb. If you can’t score in todays college football you’re fucked.I would've been okay with liepold I think but strongly preferred Rhule
We had some many good coaches to pick from it wasn’t funny. I never thought it would be possibleWe probably fucked it up because we're Nebraska but last season's HC market was booming with quality candidates and you'd have to be Nebraska level bad to have fucked it up
I'm not disagreeing. I would have been OK with Leipold. He'd probably be my 3rd or 4th choice of the people that were legit interested.I just look at the coaches circumstances. Rhule was probably my 4th-5th choice. I still believe he is a quality coach, but we had pretty good candidates to pick from.I'm not disagreeing. I would have been OK with Leipold. He'd probably be my 3rd or 4th choice of the people that were legit interested.
You would think a defensive minded coach wouldn’t be so stupid.Lanning reminded me of Helfrich going two everytime against us in 2016. Part of being a good coach is knowing you aren't half as smart as you think you are.
He was my 1st or 2nd choice.Rhule was probably my 4th-5th choice. I still believe he is a quality coach, but we had pretty good candidates to pick from.
just think if Riley would be smart enough to fire his butt buddy and hire a guy like Tony White he might actually win a natty.I get a good chuckle out of these soft as shit USC teams trying to run on 3rd/4th and short
It's just amazing to me how much talent some of these teams turn into pretty shitty defenses.just think if Riley would be smart enough to fire his butt buddy and hire a guy like Tony White he might actually win a natty.
Prime, #2ndChoice, deboer, klieman Leipold- rhule were my top 5 in that order. I never counted urb as a real choice or he would have been one. I also never thought Lane was in play either. He was my 1st or 2nd. #2ndChoice was up there for me, but 1A and 1B if you will.
The more I see of Rhule, the more I think he's the best fit for N.
I don't think his ego would allow the defense to take any credit for his success.just think if Riley would be smart enough to fire his butt buddy and hire a guy like Tony White he might actually win a natty.
I think some coaches get too tied to some of their assistants. We have seen it at Nebraska over the past 20 years. I just hope Satterfield doesn’t bring down Rhule when it’s said and done.I don't think his ego would allow the defense to take any credit for his success.
