I just look at the coaches circumstances. Kansas is a hard place to win at. I honestly thought Leipold and Rhule’s resume on program building wasn’t that much different. I never got the hate for Leipold. Both are quality coaches in my mind.

We probably fucked it up because we're Nebraska but last season's HC market was booming with quality candidates and you'd have to be Nebraska level bad to have fucked it up

The only thing I favored Leipold in was the offensive part. The guy has an offensive system which produces points with whatever qb. If you can’t score in todays college football you’re fucked.

I'm not disagreeing. I would have been OK with Leipold. He'd probably be my 3rd or 4th choice of the people that were legit interested.

Rhule was probably my 4th-5th choice. I still believe he is a quality coach, but we had pretty good candidates to pick from.

He was my 1st or 2nd choice.
Fick ell was up there for me, but 1A and 1B if you will.
The more I see of Rhule, the more I think he's the best fit for N.

It's just amazing to me how much talent some of these teams turn into pretty shitty defenses.

Prime, #2ndChoice, deboer, klieman Leipold- rhule were my top 5 in that order. I never counted urb as a real choice or he would have been one. I also never thought Lane was in play either.

I think some coaches get too tied to some of their assistants. We have seen it at Nebraska over the past 20 years. I just hope Satterfield doesn’t bring down Rhule when it’s said and done.
