OT: Unpopular Opinion - John Daly is WAY Overrated

Hear me out...

Outside of the 1991 PGA and the 1995 Open Championship, he has 3 other PGA Tour wins after nearly 30 years of playing the PGA Tour, although he lost full PGA privileges after the 2006 season.

His best finish at the US Open was a t27 in 1996 - he missed the cut or WD'd in 5 out of 13 he played in. Outside his win at the PGA championship, he either missed the cut or WD'd 21 times in 28 appearances. Outside his win at the Open in 1995, he missed the cut or WD'd 13 out of 21 times.

He took an embarrassment of God-given talent and he did that absolute bare minimum with it. He's the Texas A&M of pro golf.

Nah, he’s overrated for sure. He’s great entertainment. Nothing like watching a good bloody train wreck now and again. Not overrated on that front. As a golfer...incredibly overrated.
