One name to keep your retinas on

I know cornicator mentioned the ginger from Miami of Ohio and he made 90k
I found old numbers for the ULL staff from like 5 years ago and coordinators were at like $180k. They've probably come up a bit from there, but it doesn't seem unreasonable that even moving into Rutledge's salary would be a raise.

Rutledge made, what, 150k?

I can’t imagine a G5 assistant coach makes significantly less than that.

I'm not really sure about the G5 salaries, but some others are readily available in the perennial playoff contending FCS division. Think something like $98k for a coordinator, and $46k for a position coach with three years of D-1 experience at that level.

It wouldn't surprise me if an analyst at NU makes quite a bit more than a position coach in the G5, considering Ruud's initial P5 assistant coaching salary at NU was sub-$200k.

Thought Dean hinted at it being bill busch. Boy if he’s wrong

Also possible that moving from a coaching job to an analyst would let this fella get a big more money up front and an inside track on a full time assistant job if it goes well

I'm glad I don't have to play 9-dimentional checkers like analysts and entry level coaches do with job prospects and how they will look 1-3 years later.

I'm stuck down here playing regular checkers with the rest of us dipshits.

This was my thought as well. Maybe he got some assurances that when a spot came open he’d be hired on as ST coordinator. Of course that assumes special teams don’t suck again and he becomes another sacrificial lamb.
