I liked that people lumped in the "mods" with paid staff. I started @'ing everyone (volunteers and paid staff) in posts that made no sense to do so.

I actually think there were posters that thought that mods of a message board, were paid a salary or something.

(I remember you asking rrthusker and I about the severity of an injury of a Nebraska player and it made me laugh.😂 Like we had some special pipeline of top secret information.)

I remember someone penned an “Open letter to the pink shirts” after we barely beat Ball State in 2007. It really fired them up too, because we got humiliated the next week against USC.

Ya know, as much as I obviously appreciate this place and @HuskerGarrett, there's something to be said for the "inmates running the asylum right under the dorky principal's nose" vibe of old RSS haha

You have no idea. The stories I won't tell...But he has a really good heart. He helps a lot of people. He helped me in life more than anyone else will really know.

That was one of my pet peeves, too. Board moderators and staff writers are two different groups of people.

Yes, yes he was...the meltdown after Richie got the boot was unlike anything ever seen before or since, the stuff of message board legend. Going back a little further IIRC, MBK (Mighty Bee Keeper) had some classic rants as well, preceding the RRS days on Tough Tony.

I kept insisting that I partied with them all at the Oregon game and GratefulWeb’s tailgate party and we were all taking his famous Shroomy Loomy and had a blast. Steve just could not handle that. Those were the good ole days of @RR$. 😔
