Its surprising Chip wants to go back to the NFL where he was a disaster. Their DC made a lateral move.

I've read on their boards there was a lot of tension on the staff since the first Oregon game. The DC throwing Larry Johnson under the bus for the lack of pass rush, their OL coach getting thrown under the bus by everyone, Chip after the Michigan game. Probably the type of shit we would hear about more often at NU if we were any good.

Chip was a terrible HC in the NFL, but he may be Taylor made for a modern NFL OC spot. I hate the Raiders but they may have hit a homerun here.

He's a great tactician and has no desire to be a HC anymore. He'll be a great OC as that is all he'll be focusing on.

Supposedly Knowles was pissed at Day for treating his offensive staff different. He didn’t think the same accountability was being used on that side of the ball and supposedly the frustration started after Oregon.
