Naw, he's not better than Mahomes. But then again, no QB probably is or has been. Mahomes is that good.

Purdy is purdy good. But he is not Mahomes level. Niners have a squad. Although a good portion of their pro bowl players went down to injury during the game. That hurt. But going away from the run game in the 2nd half was Shanhan's downfall. Ohh, and the muffed punt turnover, plus missing the PAT. Those two plays were almost guarantees that Mahomes and the chiefs would pull it out.

A great game overall, though. Congrats to the Chiefs. Deserved champs.

Gotta admit I was getting antsy when the Chiefs didn’t call time out or act fast before the final play. Still thought they had to tie or win in the first OT’s 15 minute period. Thought Romo was off his rocker again saying it would go to 2nd period.

Looked up the rule:

• If the score is still tied at the end of an overtime period — or if the second team’s initial possession has not ended — the teams will play another overtime period. Play will continue regardless of how many overtime periods are needed for a winner to be determined.

Wasn’t aware of that part of the new OT rules
