Since we have nothing else to talk about and the season is near, let’s do best guesses at our lineup and rotation for the first weekend. We play 4 games in week one.

C Worthley - Freshman
1B Sanderson - Junior
2B Buck - Senior
SS Carey - Senior
3B Overbeek - Senior
LF Jesske - Junior
CF Nunez - Sophomore
RF Buettenback - Junior
DH Kitchens - Senior

SP Horn - Junior
SP Katskee - Redshirt Junior
SP Jasa - Redshirt Sophomore
SP Mannell - Redshirt Senior

I’m assuming Horn an Katskee will be our Friday and Saturday starting pitchers. And they’ll give Jasa a chance to be the Sunday guy. Mannell was a starting pitcher in Juco before his year as a relief pitcher at MSU.

I’m curious what they’ll do with Timmerman. He was a relief pitcher, then a starter after he came back from his injury last year. I’m guessing Childress wants him in the bullpen so we have at least one high leverage relief pitcher.

What are reasonable expectations for Worthley as a freshman? I have him penciled in as the savior of our program & the chosen one who will lead us to CWS victory.

First 4 games of the year will be streamed on mlb.com

After that we have 3 games on Flo College

Then 3 games against Auburn on ESPNs streaming service

Starts Friday and Saturday, then we roll with someone else on Sunday and weeknights?

That's about exactly what I have. I do think that Buck/Jesske/Beek might flip back and forth in the lineup a bit.

Probably our first 20HR/30SB/80RBI with about 30 put outs on steals...and also will go through the college women ensuring another generation of worthley's coming to play in 2044
