Harvell was all over him his freshmen & sophomore year. Kept telling him they need to see his power and they'll pull the trigger.
Kansas State jumped in the summer going in to his junior year, he committed and the rest is history.
I defend the staff a lot regarding their in-state recruiting, but they definitely missed on Evasco. At least so far it's a miss. And to be honest, would he get the chance over Frost, Sanderson, Buettenback & Stone in Lincoln like he's gotten in Manhattan? I don't think so. By all accounts, a great kid (family are/were huge Husker fans) and I believe he won't return unless it's a new staff. I don't get it either, Harvell & Bolt were upfront with him and his family. There shouldn't be any animosity as far as I'm concerned.
There are others on here that know the Evasco's, so they can weigh in. I'm repeating what multiple coaches of his, and our staff, have shared with me during his recruitment.
