Official 2025 Nebraska Cardiac Beaver Slayers Baseball Thread (12-15)

Single & double to start the game.

0 runs scored.

2025 Husker baseball.

Routine grounder to Carey. He bobbles it then overthrows 1B.

Next pitch, SB & Helligso throws it in to CF.

Kansas State doesn't have a ball leave the infield and they're up 1-0. We're challenging the play at 1B, and will lose this challenge like we always do. He beat the throw by a half step.

Kansas State is gonna challenge 2B, Carey was way off the bag. 😂

It's 60° out, fuck this bullshit. ✌️ out

3 errors in the first inning….. wild pitch…. They didn’t show up tonight AT ALL which is saying a lot with the way they are playing this season. I don’t blame you at all….. not worth giving yourself an aneurysm over it…… and as I type it’s now 3-0….. check that 4-0 on another wild pitch

I mean, like what the actual fuck…… did this team quit on him?

@ KSU midweek

I don't care who you are, that's a lot.

how the hell did KSU surpass us as a program

They lost to both Omaha teams 2 weeks ago.

Hughes has a good staff though. Whomever is coaching NU next year, I'd like to see them go after Austin Wates. Dude can recruit, develop AND teach/coach.

Jasa really seems to go very good when its good but cant right the ship when something goes bad. Hopefully he figures that out.

Last night, 13 pitches = 3 outs.

Instead, because of our 3 errors - he throws around 30 and we're down 5-0. Heck, a ball hadn't left the infield and we're down 2-0 or 3-0.

There aren't many pitchers that can overcome that, especially freshmen.

I get what you're saying but he faced 12 batters. outside of Careys 2 errors there were 4 hits 3 walks and a HBP.

Hogan's error gave up a base but not another baserunner like Careys both did.

Should he be out of the first inning? absolutely. But he still is responsible for 8 of 12 reaching base outside the errors.

runs 2&3 scored on a double but Your point is still valid.

4 hitters = 3 outs. Inning over, 0-0.

0 H, 1 BB, 3 ground outs. Carey is responsible for the rest.

Asking a pitcher to throw more than 3 outs, in the first inning, especially a freshmen midweek arm on the road - is not good in any fashion. Friday night guys, absolutely yes, they're on Friday's for a reason. But not a midweek arm, still wet behind the ears.
